Fifty-five years ago in Canton, Ohio, a young man named Harry Pantelas fell in love with the beautiful high school Homecoming Queen, Kathy. He married her and brought her to California on their honeymoon. Harry was hired by Lockheed Missiles & Space and they never returned to Ohio. Making their home in First Neighborhood Kathy and Harry set about raising their three children. Sharing a love for gardening, Harry build a greenhouse and Kathy soon became as famous for her green thumb as she was for her Greek cooking. She sold house plants from their home for a few years and it was from this love of gardening that Westlake Florist was born. A mainstay of the community, Westlake Florist has been owned and operated for nearly 40 years by Kathy Pantelas.

A mainstay of the community, Westlake Florist has been owned and operated for nearly 40 years by Kathy Pantelas. Kathy has brought together the finest of award winning floral designers, including television celebrity Kevin Lee, who credits Kathy with giving him his start as an award winning floral designer prior to his television show. Kathy prides herself on offering the finest of imported flowers. She has created a family atmosphere where customers can expect to be treated more like a family member and less like another customer.Come visit us at our original location at The Westlake Commons, where you will be greeted by the selective succulent gardens in ceramic containers that are displayed in the front. Exquisite one of a kind silk florals adorn the interior. Beautiful seasonal blooms, Ecuadorian roses, and high-end flowers are used to create each unique flower arrangement. Premium double stem white, deep purple and lavender phalaenopsis orchid plants are displayed in ceramic containers dressed with curly willow and cymbidium blooms. You'll find many thoughtful gift items to choose from to accompany your floral choices as well as gourmet baskets and fine chocolates.
